so bad do not buy from this company. I purchased online, camera worked once (admittedly it was not touched for six months as is underwater camera and was waiting for dive holiday). Then it would not charge. Very sad as no dive photos. I came to the store right after holiday. They refused to refund. They offered to send away to Nikon repairer but I sent away via another camera shop for repair (as closer to home). After 7 weeks Nikon repairer say unrepairable go back to retailer for refund (in writing on their repair form). I take it all back again to Cannington store. Rude manager (was also super unhelpful last time) at Cannington DigiDirect still refuses to refund and says need to get Nikon to refund DigiDIRECT then they will refund me (hopefully). Terrible processes and terrible customer service. Most reputable retailers like Harvey Norman would refund the customer and then sort out their reimbursement from manufacturer. The terrible process at this company means poor consumers left stressed and out of pocket for poor products they sell. No accountability.27 July update….interesting false reply from the business posted earlier today.As my post accurately said I did choose to send it to the Nikon repairer via another more local shop - note they sent it to the same Malaga repair centre DigiDirect said they were sending it too. So it was the authorised Nikon repairer who said irreparable. Also note the owner reply says my camera in use 6 months, which is not the case as per my post, and as their own store staff said (both when I took in May and last weekend) on inspecting you could see it was barely used as it was so shiny and even stickers in place no peeling etc. Finally, to prove what I have said is correct and what the owner reply says is wrong ( only adding another reason to not buy from this business) yesterday the Cannington manager called to say come and get your refund. Which is of course what should happen given it was sent away to an authorised Nikon repairer who said it cannot be fixed. Painful as they are of course refusing to refund over the phone so I have to physically go there yet again, however at least they are doing what they should have done on Saturday.Oh yes, one more thing business owner, you missed the whole point of my post and feedback, the point I am warning other shoppers about is that your business refund process (which is totally in the business owners control) is what is not as good as a business such as JB-HIFI. I am warning people that your process is a send away first, other retailers like JB take the ownership for lower value items like this and they assess the item and with a major fault like this, refund the consumer first and then they seek their recovery from the manufacturer. If I had purchased from them, I would have had a refund 12 May. So it is your poor returns and refund process I am warning people about.

Overall I had very good experiences previously however last one is beyond acceptable. I’ve placed an order at the end of March. They partially full filled the order and waiting for stock of an item. At the time of the order, website showed that they had stock in Eastern States and it’s about 4 days delivery time. Haven’t heard from anyone for a while so I decided call them on 19/04. The store person I’ve spoken shouldn’t be in the customer service. I simply asked if they can cancel the order. He was pretty rude and said not even supplier has the stocks. He wanted me to call on the online store. When I asked for the number he told me to google it. I’ve ended up emailing the web store on the same day. Someone replied saying stocks arrived and the item is ready to be processed. I replied right away saying if the item is there I’m happy to collect it. Since that I’ve sent 3 emails and no response anyone. This is pretty poor

I went in just to look like we all,do, the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the brands and products I wanted to see. Also the prices were very good, even compared to shopping online. By far the staff and knowledge is what you come to this place for. Thanks for explaining about the item I ended up buying.

Fantastic store for well-priced camera gear here in Perth.Usually it's pretty quiet, but service can take a little time given the nature of the hobby and the fact people are often seeking a little advice rather than just purchasing.Obviously they don't stock everything that is stocked online, but overall I think the range is very good.Parking is generally available, and if not there is plenty of parking nearby.

I have always had great instore service. Having recently moved to the country their service is still great and I have made a couple of purchases which were mailed to me. They were well packed and received in perfect condition.

Has become my consistent and reliable go to for purchasing film and developing. One of the staff members was kind enough to go through the settings on an old manual film camera I brought in. Got it started up and working for me and I can't wait to get my first roll from it developed.I just wish print outs were included with the developing process.

Always friendly staff, good stock of items (they even had an item in store that was only pre order online which was perfect as it was what I wanted). Customer service is always great, always someone knowledgeable available to help but also not in your face which is great.

Always fantastic fast friendy service.I recently purchased a Joby monopod online and within an hour I got an email to say Cannington didnt have it in stock but it was instock in the Eastern States and was being shipped to WA with in 7 days.Well 4 days later I got the call to say it was ready forpick up.I had a old family photo from 1897 and the photo lab at Cannington scanned it, enlarged it and printed it...WOW what a fantastic photo it is and they did it all while I waited.Very happy customer been using hem for years

Turned away at 1615 for a newborn passport pic, told they have to catch up on other work until closing time at 1730. Two post offices recommended coming here. Unwilling to be flexible and didn’t seem to care that we made the effort to drive here in weather with a newborn happy and ready (a task in itself).They lost our business.
